Newly ordained Priest with others
Bishop George Pallipparambil of Miao ordained father Vincent Rangwang in an impressive ceremony held at Lazu Parish in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh on October 10, 2022. Father Rangwang is the first Catholic priest from the Ollo community, and the third indigenous priest from the state of Arunachal Pradesh, after Rev. Father Roshan Bamin Peter from the Apatani tribe and Rev. Father Francis Bello from the Galo tribe, both from the Diocese of Itanagar. The solemn occasion was graced by Auxiliary Bishop Dennis, Priests, Nuns, leaders of APCA and large number of prominent leaders and general public. The newly ordained priest belongs to Missionaries of Compassion (MOC), based in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, Bishop George said, Rev. Fr. Vincent Rangwang now belongs to the world, and not to the Ollo community alone. Significantly, he hails from one of the small communities of Arunachal Pradesh.
